Electrical and Control Engineering (ECE) society organized a summer research internship program 2017. It was the first cost-free program designed for students. It combined both on-campus theoretical course work and laboratory exercises with the aim of increasing the research output at the EE-DPT. The selection of students was based on the test prior. Fourteen candidates qualified for the historical training.
The lucky candidates worked on different domains and wrote their project report and submitted it to EE research lab. The outcome of the program provided ECE with many research papers such as; A. R. Yasin, S. Ahmed, and M. Riaz, “Implementation of High Power Quality Three Phase Inverter for AC Micro Grids,” presented at the 12th International IEEE Conference on Emerging Technologies 2016, M. A. Shahid, A. R. Yasin, and S. Ahmad, “Practical Sliding Mode Controller in Dc-Dc Converters for use in Hybrid Vehicles,” presented at the 19th IEEE International Multi-Topic Conference 2016, A. R. Yasin, S. Ahmad, M. Atif, and M. Ammar, “Control of Non-Linear Systems using Jacobian – A Pratical Demo on Magnetic Levitation System,” IEEE Transactions, A. R. Yasin, M. Ashraf, A.I. Bhatti, S. Ahmad, and M. Rashid, “Sliding Mode Control for Efficient Utilization of Renewable Energy Sources in DC Micro Grid: A Comparison with a Linear PID Controller,” presented at the 2016 IEEE International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering.
