Laughter is a strong medicine to pain, conflict, stress, and of course, tiredness. Humor lightens up the burden and boost up the energy level. To keep students focused, dramatic club of University of Lahore organized a tremendous event on 20th and 21st of November. Event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and after that national anthem was played which was something wonderful. All participants gave full of life performances and made everyone laugh their heart out. The given theme was to perform as a superstar or as a technical person. Most performances were on the theme of superstar just one participant Abdullah Cheema opted to perform as a technical person and without any doubt he justified his performance. A fabulous skit was also presented by the members of the club which took the event to the next level, simply amazing and extremely funny. Day 2 also started with the same energy. Students participated from many different universities including University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Beaconhouse National University (BNU), COMSATS, UWAS, University of Central Punjab (UCP) and Superior. The worthy chief guests for day two were Mr. Assad Kafi and Mr. Azhar Rangeela from ‘Khabardaar’ team who were later joined by Miss Anum Ruby and Mr. Honey Albaila who also honored the event with their lively performances. Abdullah Cheema was the winner of the event, Wahab from BNU was the first runner up and Saad from UET was declared as the second runner up. Participatory certificates along with the voucher of blazon were given to every participant as a token of appreciation. Awards were handed over by expresident of the club Mr. Omer Naeem, Ms. Faiza Butt and the current president of dramtic club Mr. Naeem Bajwa. The management was pretty good they know how to control the audience and engaged at the same time which was no less than of an achievement. Mr. Ayyub Mirza and Mr. Farrukh Shah, members of ‘Khabardaar’ team, were the worthy chief guests of this spectacular event. Mr. Mirza’s presence and performance made the event more powerful. It was an all-round Pakistani standup comedy event with the combination of energetic dance performances. Every participant was a hidden package of talent and had amazing skills of comedy. The hard work of the team and management were appreciated by many. It was a wonderful step by the Dramatics Club, to promote the standup comedy in a very innovative way.
