UOL Relief Trust, Traffic Police discuss Traffic Rules and Road Safety

The UOL Relief Trust in collaboration with Lahore Traffic Police organized an educative seminar on traffic rules and road safety at the University of Lahore Defense Road Campus on February 15, 2018. The Chief of Lahore Traffic Police, Rai Ejaz Ahmed, Road Safety Officer, Mukaram Shabir, and the Director UOL Relief Trust, Mrs. Farah Mahmood were the main facilitators.

The seminar that proved to be informative and beneficial to students and the young drivers of the UOL addressed the five rules of road safety, including; having licenses, usage of helmets, proper reading of road signs, having proper documents and proper maintenance of vehicles. Traffic symbols and signs were also showcased to seminar participants.

Commenting on the seminar, Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim, a Pharmacy lecturer said; “such discussions are the need of the hour and they should be conducted from time to time.”

On her part, Mrs Farah Mahmood shared her personal experience on road safety, the value of helmet and road license.

Mr Rai Ejaz Ahmed instructed his staff to establish a mobile licensing unit at University of Lahore in the shortest time possible.
